The Utah Mammoth announced today that they have acquired the 23rd overall draft choice in the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft and a conditional 2028 first-round draft choice via the Florida Panthers from the Boston Bruins in exchange for forward JJ Peterka.
If the Panthers’ 2028 first-round draft choice falls inside the top-10 then the Bruins will have the choice to convey their unprotected 2029 draft choice to Utah.
“I would like to thank JJ for his commitment to our organization,” said Bill Armstrong, general manager of the Utah Mammoth. “JJ is a great person and will be a dynamic player for Boston.”
About JJ Peterka:
- Peterka, 24, registered 25-22-47 and 28 penalty minutes (PIM) in 82 games with Utah in 2025-26.
- Originally selected by the Buffalo Sabres in the second round (34th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft, Peterka has tallied 92-105-197 and 116 PIM in 320 career NHL contests with the Mammoth and Sabres.
