Rick Peckham - Television Play-by-Play Announcer

A veteran of broadcasting professional hockey for the past 39 seasons, RICK PECKHAM returns to the broadcast booth for the 2016-17 season, his 21st year as the play-by-play announcer for the Tampa Bay Lightning. He also works select games for NBC Sports Network.

The 1977 graduate of Kent State University with a B.A. in telecommunications had been the play-by-play announcer for Hartford Whalers games on SportsChannel New England from 1984 through 1995. Peckham also broadcasts NHL action on the NBC Sports Network, SportsChannel America, and ESPN. He also called games on both television and radio for the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans from 1977-84.

Peckham's professional history includes announcing at the US Open tennis, Arena Football's Tampa Bay Storm, NFL and NBA telecasts for ESPN International and college basketball. Peckham is also involved in the Lightning's community efforts. He is instrumental in the 'Hockey by the Numbers' program which uses hockey statistics to help teach math in Hillsborough County schools. Peckham is also active in the Lightning's volunteer program, C.H.A.R.G.E., working with Meals on Wheels Tampa and other local charities.

Rick and his wife, Vickie, currently reside in Lutz with their sons, Alex and Matthew.
