The Lightning Foundation is seeking artwork from local artists for consideration for inclusion on various items to be showcased on Game Theme Nights during the 2023-24 season. Whether you have existing artwork you would like to submit or would like to design something specifically for one of our below themes, all artwork is welcome and appreciated!
We are excited to bring awareness to the talent of our vibrant local artist community, as well as to showcase art that visually celebrates the diversity and energy of the Tampa Bay community. Hockey is For Everyone is an important component of our brand and community outreach, and we encourage you to be creative and depict anything and everything that inspires you in the below categories...and if you are able to weave in your love for the great game of hockey, even better!
We are seeking digital designs including but not limited to the below Game Night Themes
- Hispanic Heritage
- Black Heritage
- Go Green - Sustainability
- Gender Equality
- Mental Health
- Pride
- Holiday art (Halloween, Christmas, Gasparilla, etc.)
- Fan art
Digital designs can be submitted for pucks, jersey designs, arena artwork, etc. Puck designs will need to be 2.75" diameter. If creating a jersey crest design for consideration, the specs are 10" x 10". If your artwork is selected, we may ask for your permission or assistance in re-sizing the artwork for the applicable usage.
Additionally, general artwork may be considered for monthly spotlights, community mural projects and other activations throughout the 2023-24 season. Artists selected will have their work showcased in-arena to 19,000+ fans as well as on our social media platforms. This is a great opportunity to showcase your talent to our hundreds of thousands of fans, locally and nationally, to celebrate the diversity of Tampa Bay!
All entrants will be entered to win a 2022-23 Team Signed Jersey! Additionally, select artists could be selected to be featured on different theme nights.
Please submit your portfolio and/or artwork and complete the accompanying questionnaire to specify what theme you are submitting for and more information on the design.
If your artwork is selected for a puck or jersey design, you may be offered one or more of the following as consideration for granting us the right to feature your artwork:
- $1,000 commission
- One (1) version of the jersey or puck, depending on which your artwork is selected for
- Two (2) tickets to the game at which your artwork is will be featured
- Artist spotlight on Lightning social media channels
