Go Green Description

What Is Go Green?

The National Hockey League announced its third annual celebration of NHL Green, expanding from one week to a month-long campaign for the first time.

Since its launch in 2010, NHL Green has been committed to promoting green business practices across the league as well as preserving the environment, including the frozen ponds that inspired and cultivated the game more than 100 years ago

Each year, the Lightning host a Go Green Night at AMALIE Arena, held on April 15th 2023 vs. the Buffalo Sabres to encourage sustainability initiatives and environmental awareness. Efforts include a complementary bike valet, a hydroponic garden at AMALIE arena providing produce for arena events, and multiple volunteer events with local non-profits including Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful and Tampa Bay Watch.
