The Tampa Bay Lightning and NHL is committed to protecting the places we play hockey for future generations. We're using innovative technologies to transform our business, and inspiring our communities and partners to lower emissions, conserve water, reduce waste and more.

Each year, the Lightning host a Go Green Night at AMALIE Arena to encourage sustainability initiatives and environmental awareness. Efforts include a complementary bike valet, a hydroponic garden at AMALIE arena which provides produce for arena events, and multiple volunteer events in the community with local non-profits including Keeping Tampa Bay Beautiful, and Tampa Bay Watch.

What is Go Green?

The National Hockey League announced its third annual celebration of NHL Green, expanding from one week to a month-long campaign for the first time.

Since its launch in 2010, NHL Green has been committed to promoting green business practices across the League as well as preserving the environment, including the frozen ponds that inspired and cultivated the game more than 100 years ago.
