Islanders Children’s Foundation Skate into Success Scholarship
The Islanders Children’s Foundation is committed to supporting and inspiring the next generation—both on and off the ice. The Skate into Success Scholarship honors graduating high school seniors from the Metro New York area who have demonstrated a passion for hockey, excellence in academics, and a commitment to their communities. This scholarship awards five (5) individuals in the amount of $5K each to support their continued education and hockey journey at a two- or four-year college or university.
Applicants must:
- Be a high school senior in the Metro New York area (Long Island, NYC, or surrounding counties).
- Be an active youth hockey player participating in an organized hockey program or league.
- Demonstrate plans to attend a two- or four-year college or university in Fall 2026.
- Exhibit leadership, teamwork, and strong sportsmanship on and off the ice.
- Show a proven record of community involvement and volunteerism.
- Possess a solid academic record and commitment to personal development.
Additional required documents:
- Please submit at least two, but not more than three, letters of recommendation from a coach, teacher, guidance counselor, advisor, or employer with your application
- Up-to-date copy of unofficial transcript from your high school guidance counselor
