Future Islanders Learn to Play Program

Cost: $150 (8 sessions) * Boys and Girls Ages 5-8 * Equipment provided

The Islanders have teamed up with the NHL to bring a new Learn to Play initiative to Long Island and Brooklyn. The Future Islanders Program will provide kids ages 5-8 with Islanders branded equipment and eight on-ice sessions led by Islanders alumni.

    The Future Islanders program is offered at the following local ice rinks and is limited to 600 total participants. The Learn to Play initiative is geared towards kids who have not already played in a house league or higher but have had some skating experience. This is an introduction to the great game of hockey for first-time players and a transition program to those leagues

    Boys and girls, ages 5-8, enrolled in the program will be introduced to the game of hockey and receive the following brand-new CCM Islanders branded hockey equipment:

    • Helmet
    • Shoulder pads
    • Elbow pads
    • Gloves
    • Pants
    • Shin pads
    • Socks
    • Skates
    • Jersey
    • Equipment bag
    • Stick
