At the Rink: Canucks at Islanders

NEW YORK -- Defenseman Luca Sbisa and forward Jannik Hansen will each return to the Vancouver Canucks lineup when they play the New York Islanders at Barclays Center on Sunday (4 p.m. ET; SNP, MSG+).

Sbisa has missed the past 19 games with a hand injury; he last played Dec. 1. Hansen has missed the past four games with an upper-body injury.

"We have a few guys coming back, which is nice," Canucks coach Willie Desjardins said.

Forward Daniel Sedin needs one goal to become the Canucks' all-time leading goal scorer with No. 347 and break the mark set by Markus Naslund, who played for Vancouver from 1996-2008.

At the Rink: Stars at Islanders

NEW YORK -- Dallas Stars forward Valeri Nichushkin will return to the lineup when they play the New York Islanders at Barclays Center on Sunday (5 p.m. ET; FS-SW, MSG).

Nichushkin missed a 3-2 overtime loss to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday because of a lower-body injury. He has four goals and 13 points in 37 games this season.

"Val will go back in today," Stars coach Lindy Ruff said. "We have a couple players who are a little banged up so we have a couple of decisions to make maybe before warmups but possibly after warmups."

DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Dec. 17

Mikko Koivu, C, Minnesota Wild

Draft Kings price: $4,700

Koivu had one goal and four points with one shot on goal (9.5 DraftKings points) in his most recent game Tuesday. He had one goal in his previous game following a seven-game scoreless streak. Koivu has played well all season, leading the Wild in points (six goals, 19 assists), in 20:11 of ice time. The fact he's more than half as cheap as Tyler Seguin, the highest-priced center ($8,800), makes him extremely valuable. It may not seem like a perfect matchup playing the defensively-solid New York Rangers at home, but he's scored 15 points in 15 home games.

At the Rink: Avalanche at Islanders

NEW YORK -- Forward Josh Bailey will play in his 500th NHL game when the New York Islanders host the Colorado Avalanche on Monday at Barclays Center (7 p.m. ET, ALT2, MSG+).

Bailey was selected by the Islanders in the first round (No. 9) of the 2008 NHL Draft. He has five goals and 12 points in 23 games this season, and 86 goals and 230 points in 499 games.

"I'm very proud to have been here my whole career," Bailey said after the morning skate. "I think you don't see that too often nowadays to play as many years as I've been with one organization, so it's something I'm definitely proud of."

At the Rink: Bruins at Islanders

NEW YORK -- New York Islanders forward Josh Bailey will be a healthy scratch and forward Taylor Beck will make his Islanders debut Sunday against the Boston Bruins (5 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, NESN, MSG+).

The Islanders have scored eight goals in five games and coach Jack Capuano is hoping the shakeup will provide more offense.

"Josh has always been really good defensively for us and his awareness away from the puck has cost us, especially in the Carolina game. He knows that," Capuano said. "You don't have to tell him and there's no blame on him. But we need not only Josh but others to raise their game."

Beck, 24, was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sept. 17. He had eight goals and 16 points in 62 games with the Nashville Predators last season.

DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 4

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

At the Rink: Hurricanes at Islanders

NEW YORK -- Noah Hanifin, the fifth pick of the 2015 NHL Draft will be in the lineup for the Carolina Hurricanes when they play the New York Islanders on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; FS-CR, MSG+) one game after he was a healthy scratch.

Hanifin did not play in a 3-1 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, but coach Bill Peters said it wasn't because of poor play.

"We took him out [Tuesday] to freshen him up," Peters said Thursday. "He'll come out at some point again to freshen up when it's the right time. I don't know when that is going to be. He can be more physical, he knows that. He can be a guy who's dynamic when he skates and moves his feet and that's what I expect here tonight, a real good puck-moving [defenseman]."

Hanifin had played in the Hurricanes' first eight games; he has two assists and is averaging 16:57 of ice time per game.

At the Rink: Bruins at Islanders

NEW YORK -- Boston Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara will play in his 1,200th NHL game Friday when the Bruins play the New York Islanders at Barclays Center (7:30 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, MSG+, NESN).

Chara, 38, was selected by the Islanders in the 1996 NHL Draft (No. 56) and played in 231 games over four seasons with New York. He then went to the Ottawa Senators for four seasons (299 games) and has been with the Bruins for the past 10 seasons (669 games).

"Every game in the NHL is very special," Chara said. "I guess it just worked out that way [to play the Islanders]. I'm very humbled to be a part of this League and this team."

Chara has 169 goals and 542 points in 1,199 games over 16 seasons and four assists in four games this season.

DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Oct. 22

Mikko Koivu, C, Minnesota Wild

DraftKings price: $4,300

This may not seem like an attractive pick, but Koivu has averaged 3.8 DraftKings points per contest and faces a Columbus Blue Jackets team which has allowed the most goals this season (34), almost five per game. Even after the coaching change from Todd Richards to John Tortorella, it likely will take some time for the Blue Jackets to adjust, meaning the Wild should be able to score. Koivu has one point in four of five games and has 10 shots in his past two games.
