2025-26 SEASON SERIES
The Golden Knights faced the Wild three times during the 2025-26 season, losing all three matchups. The teams opened the season series on Nov. 16, with Kirill Kaprizov scoring with 10 seconds left in overtime to give the Wild a 3-2 decision. In their second encounter on Dec. 29, the Golden Knights fell again 5-2 at home, with goals from Brayden McNabb and Mark Stone. To wrap up the season series, Vegas was defeated 4-2 on March 6, despite late efforts from Mitch Marner.

OPPOSITION UPDATE
The Wild currently hold a 3-1-1 record and sit in second place in the Central Division. They played their first game on the road in Nashville and earned a 3-1 win against the Predators before beating the Boston Bruins 4-1 at home. Their two defeats were on the road to the Buffalo Sabres and Tampa Bay Lighting, both 3-2 scorelines. And their most recent matchup was a 4-1 win in Florida against the Panthers on Saturday.

The Wild made several offseason roster changes following a second-round playoff elimination last spring. Blake Coleman and Olli Määttä were acquired from the Calgary Flames in exchange for Jake Middleton and future draft picks in 2027, 2028 and 2029. Key departures from Minnesota included Mats Zuccarello and Marcus Johansson.

KEYS TO THE GAME
Execute Power Plays: After Saturday’s win, Mitch Marner and Head Coach Ryan Craig emphasized the need to continue capitalizing on their power-play opportunities to keep collecting points early in the season. The Golden Knights currently rank fifth in the NHL in power-play percentage at 30.4.

Balanced Effort: As the Golden Knights prepare for back-to-back games on the road, maintaining balance throughout the lineup will be key to navigating the demands of a quick turnaround from Monday to Tuesday. With the strains of consecutive road games testing the team’s depth and endurance, contributions across all four lines, three defence pairings and likely both goalies will be essential to finding success away from home.
