Community Grants

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) Community Grants program provides funding to organizations that are aligned to our investment focus or support an emergent need in the community.

The Community Grants program is a great way for the EOCF to get to know your organization and learn about exciting and impactful projects that you are undertaking to support the community. Some of our biggest investments have started through the grant process so we highly encourage eligible groups to apply.

For the 2025-26 season, there will be two application cycles:

  • October 1 to January 10
  • January 30 to April 5

50/50 Program

We are proud to work with our long-standing community partners on the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation (EOCF) 50/50 program, presented by Rogers, as we continue to grow year over year toward a shared community impact. Our established partners for this program reflect a variety of focus areas, including:

  • Specific raffle themes (e.g., Kids in Oil Country, Animals of Oil Country, Feeding Oil Country)
  • National Hockey League initiatives (e.g., Hockey Fights Cancer)
  • Emerging community needs
  • Connections to Oilers players
  • Alignment with EOCF priorities

We work closely with these partners to develop detailed MOUs to ensure the program’s success and maximize community impact. Many of our 50/50 partners originally emerged through the Community Grant process.

Chuck-a-Puck

Take part in the Edmonton Oil Kings Chuck-a-Puck to raise funds and awareness for your group. As part of this program, you will get a booth at an Oil Kings game to showcase your cause and sell foam pucks to fans in attendance. At the end of the game, fans throw their pucks onto the ice and the fan whose puck is closest to centre ice with win $250. Proceeds of all puck sales benefit your group.

Fostering Community Through Play Ball Hockey Program

The Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation is proud to introduce Fostering Community through play Ball Hockey program, presented by Rona. This dynamic initiative is a key pillar within the Every Kid Deserves a Shot program. Designed to foster community through the engaging sport of ball hockey. This program works with local community organizations like Free Play for Kids and Ball Hockey Edmonton and is committed to providing opportunities for all youth with regular opportunities to play ball hockey, promoting personal and social development.

By collaborating with schools and existing leagues, and through events like our Fan Park ball hockey tournament, we aim to make ball hockey accessible to all skill levels and to provide a steppingstone to ice hockey.
