What to Expect on Gameday

Gamedays at Nationwide Arena will be different this season. While the cannon will still fire, there will be no pizza or t-shirt tosses. There will still be chili chants and goals songs, but there will be no physical gameday programs or other gameday giveaways (the Official Digital Game Program will still be available for each home game on the Blue Jackets App). We appreciate the passion of the 5th Line and are glad to have them back this season. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we look to provide a safe and healthy experience for all our fans.

Some important items for fans planning on coming to games this season to keep in mind:

  • All ticketed fans must complete a Fan Health Survey before entry into Nationwide Arena. Surveys must be completed for every ticket on the account and a confirmation page must be shown upon arrival.

  • Face masks will be required for all guests (age 2 and over) and must be worn at all times unless actively eating or drinking in your seats. Gaiters, bandanas or masks with vents will NOT be permitted. Masks must fully cover the nose and mouth and fit securely under the chin.

  • All seats will be grouped in "seating pods" separated by 6-feet or more.

  • All tickets will be digital/mobile. Paper tickets and STH passcards have been eliminated. For more information on Mobile Ticketing, CLICK HERE.

  • All ticketing, concessions and merchandise will be cashless. Purchases can be made with a debit card or credit card. No-fee reverse ATMs also know as Cash-to-Card machines have been installed for our guest's convenience. Current concession locations now open:
    • Main Concourse Sections
      • 101, 102, 105, 108, 110, 115, 117, 119
    • Club Level Sections
      • C1, C8, C10, Center Ice Bar
    • Upper Concourse Sections
      • 203, 204, 206, 209, 212, 215, 218, 222, 223, 226

  • Nationwide Arena will be a smoke-free property for this season.

  • Bags will generally NOT be permitted. There is an exception for medical bags, diaper bags OR clutches no larger than 8"x 5"x 1".

  • Per NHL guidelines, the first four rows around the rink, as well as areas around player benches, Zamboni tunnels and penalty boxes have been removed from fan access and available seating for safety purposes. We appreciated fans respecting these guidelines.

Yes, you will be able to transfer or resell tickets. However, you must do so while maintaining "pod integrity" to ensure that each "pod", or block of tickets, contains only family members or trusted acquaintances.

Fans cannot resell a portion of a ticket pod. If reselling, all tickets in the pod must be sold at the same time to one person. To avoid having groups that do not know each other sitting together, you cannot resell a portion of your tickets for a game. For example, if you purchase four seats for a game, you cannot sell only two of the tickets. If you choose to sell part of a ticket pod, those tickets may be cancelled and you may lose the right to purchase future tickets this season.
