ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP

Committment to our Community

The Columbus Blue Jackets and Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation are committed to the central Ohio community and are actively supporting causes we hold near and dear. This commitment is centered around the health and wellness of children in our community which directly aligns with the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio: to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. We are thrilled to partner with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and utilize our unique resources to support their efforts to clear the path to a child’s biggest possible future by matching them with a caring, adult mentor in a one-to-one friendship.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio creates positive change in our community by matching school-aged youth (we call them “Littles”) with caring adult volunteers (we call them “Bigs”) in life-changing mentoring relationships. These relationships empower youth to graduate high school with a plan for their life and a mentor whose impact will last a lifetime.

MENTORSHIP & TICKET INFORMATION

Interested in getting involved?

Be Big. Because mentorship sounds huge, but the truth is...it takes little to be big. Fill out the form above to request more information and receive two tickets to a game and a chance to meet the Blue Jackets head coach.

What it means to be a Big

Bigs and Littles hang out 2-3 times a month for a few hours doing normal, everyday activities like going to a hockey game, ice skating at the OhioHealth Chiller ice rinks, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out. Each match is supported by a dedicated Match Support Specialist who is always there to provide resources and support specific to the Little’s age.
