The Buffalo Sabres have reassigned forward Peyton Krebs to the Rochester Americans (AHL).
Krebs was acquired from the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday with Alex Tuch, a top-10 protected 2022 first-round pick, and a 2023 second-round pick in exchange for forward Jack Eichel and a 2023 third-round pick.

The 20-year-old forward was selected by Vegas in the first round (17th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft. He has appeared in 11 career NHL games and recorded his first point - an assist - last May. This season, he's recorded 10 shots in nine games for the Golden Knights.
Krebs spent the past three seasons captaining the WHL's Winnipeg Ice. He was named the WHL's Player of the Year in 2020-21 after leading the league in assists (30) and points (43) in 24 games.
"We're not in a rush to put him in here right away and have to just right into the lineup. This is about the long-term and building this and developing this the right way," Sabres general manager Kevyn Adams said Thursday morning after the trade was announced.
Krebs could make his Amerks debut tomorrow night. Rochester hosts the Toronto Marlies at Blue Cross Arena. The game will air on The Sports Leader 95.7 FM/950 AM ESPN Rochester as well as AHLTV.
Rochester is 5-2-0-0 on the season. Jack Quinn, October's AHL Rookie of the Month, leads the team (and is third in the league) with 12 points (6+6)
