Victor Olofsson scored his first goal of the tournament during Sweden's 7-0 victory over Switzerland at the IIHF World Championship in Latvia on Tuesday.
Arttu Ruotsalainen also notched his first point with an assist in Finland's 5-2 win over Norway while Tage Thompson sat out of the United States' 3-0 victory over Kazakhstan due to an upper-body injury.

Tuesday's results

United States 3 - Kazakhstan 0
Thompson is considered day-to-day after sustaining his upper-body injury during the third period of Team USA's win over Canada on Sunday. The win moved the U.S. into fourth place in the Group B standings.
Sweden 7 - Switzerland 0
Olofsson scored his second-period goal in familiar fashion, burying a one-time shot from the right faceoff circle.

The win was Sweden's first of the tournament following an 0-2 start.
Finland 5 - Norway 2
Ruotsalainen delivered a pass up the middle to set Anton Lundell free with an open path to the net for the go-ahead goal during the second period.

Finland moved into a tie for second place in the Group B standings with seven points.
