NASHVILLE- Victor Antipin has been released from the hospital and will travel with the Buffalo Sabres from Nashville to Toronto on Sunday. The defenseman was carted off the ice following a hit from behind by Nashville Predators forward Scott Hartnell in the second period of Buffalo's 7-4 win on Saturday.

Antipin was released from the hospital later that night. The team announced Sunday that he's been diagnosed with a concussion in addition to sustaining facial lacerations, a broken nose and dental injuries. He will be out indefinitely.
Hartnell received a five-minute boarding major and a game misconduct for the hit. The Sabres scored three times on the ensuing power play, including the tying and go-ahead goals.
Antipin has tallied 10 assists in 47 games this season, his first in the NHL.
