BLUE JACKETS' JOHANSEN NAMED NHL ALL-STAR GAME MVP

Ryan Johansen (Team Foligno) of the All-Star host Columbus Blue Jackets was named MVP of the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, determined by fans in-arena via a Twitter vote. Johansen receives a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L, made in Ohio.

Johansen, the first overall selection by Columbus linemate and Team Foligno captain Nick Foligno in the 2015 NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft presented by DraftKings on Friday night, tallied two goals and two assists and fired a game-high seven shots on goal in his NHL All-Star Game debut.

Team Toews (7) and Team Foligno (4) combined for a record-setting 11 goals in the second period. The previous mark was 10 (set four times, most recently in 2009 at Montreal).

Ryan Suter (Team Toews) and Claude Giroux (Team Foligno) scored eight seconds apart in the second period to tie All-Star records for the fastest two goals by one team/both teams.

The three combined goals by Suter, Giroux and Tyler Seguin (Team Toews) 58 seconds apart early in the second period were the second-fastest trio of goals in All-Star history.

Team Toews and Team Foligno combined for four goals in a span of 2:03 in the second period, setting an All-Star Game record (Suter, Giroux, Seguin, Steven Stamkos, Team Foligno).

Team Toews teammates John Tavares (four goals) and Jakub Voracek (three goals) recorded hat tricks, marking the first time since 1997 that multiple hat tricks were tallied in an All-Star contest (Mark Recchi and Owen Nolan). Tavares and Voracek are the second pair of All-Star teammates with hat tricks in the same game (Prince of Wales Conference's Mike Gartner and Pierre Turgeon, 1993).

Defenseman Mark Giordano (Team Toews) led all players with a +6 rating, followed by teammate Patrik Elias (+5).

In the highest-scoring All-Star Game in history, goaltender Corey Crawford (Team Toews) blocked

14 of 18 shots in the second period, registering the most saves among the six netminders.

Despite the record-setting goal total, the teams' combined shots on goal of 92 (47 for Team
