• Haydon totaled 16 points (5-11—16) in 61 games on the IceDogs blueline in 2013-14.

• Niagara selected Haydon in the first round (20th overall) of the 2013 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. He joined the team as a 16-year-old for the 2012-13 season, skating in just 42 games due to a broken jaw.

• He competed for the Belle Tire under-16 team in 2011-12 alongside IceDogs teammate Brendan Perlini (No. 8-ranked North American skater) and fellow prospects Dylan Larkin (No. 17), Ryan Mantha (No. 149) and Alex Nedeljkovic (No. 4-ranked North American goaltender).

• Haydon also played with Mantha on Team USA at the 2013 Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

• Haydon’s father played football at Cornell University.
