• Skating since he was two and half years old on his backyard rink, Ryan has committed to continue his hockey career at Boston College.

• His first hockey team was the Birmingham Rangers and he played for the Honeybaked AAA hockey club (Detroit) for eight years.

• His childhood hockey idol was Darren McCarty because “he played with so much energy and grit” and his most memorable hockey moment was playing against Russia, in Russia, at the Four Nations tournament with the Under-17 U.S. team.

• His pre-game superstitions and routines include showering before every game to wash away any bad thoughts and spending a lot of time on his sticks.
