• In 72 games this season, Bubnick finished fourth on his team with 25 goals and fifth with 57 points (25-32-57), helping Kamloops make the playoffs.

• Bubnick played for Team West at the 2008 Under-17 Hockey Challenge, represented Canada at the 2008 Ivan Hlinka Memorial tournament and played for Team Saskatchewan at the 2007 Canada Winter Games.

• He had a successful rookie campaign, recording 27 points (9-18-27) in 64 games earning him Kamloops’ Rookie of the Year award.

• Prior to playing for Kamloops, he played alongside fellow prospect Brayden Schenn (No. 4 ranked) on the Saskatoon Contacts -- he lists Jeff Schenn, Brayden’s dad, as his favorite minor hockey coach.

• His two older brothers, Jonathan (Kamloops, Regina and Portland 2001-2006) and Michael (Calgary, 1997-2003) both played in the WHL.
