NHL Central Scouting’s Chris Edwards
"He's a high-energy, hustle bug. He's got pretty good skill. He's one of those guys that is really noticeable when you see him play because of his work ethic and the energy he brings every night."
Owen Sound Attack head coach Mark Reeds
“Joey has been a really good player for us when he has been in the line up this year. Joey is a highly skilled forward who sees the ice very well. Joey has shown the ability to be coachable and dependable in his own end, having a good understanding of defensive concepts. He is a dependable penalty killer. His instincts and quick decisions make him dangerous on the penalty kill as well. Joey has demonstrated the ability to make the big play or score the timely goal. He plays well in traffic and will finish his checks. Joey is a player who wants the puck in key situations of the game. If the game is on the line he wants the puck on his stick.”
It's hard to walk into that locker room and look those guys in the eye when they've played -- clearly, that was our best game we've played in the series -- and I thought we deserved a better fate tonight.
