• In his first season in North America, Firstov was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team after ranking second among first-year skaters with 26-32—58 in 62 games for the Waterloo Black Hawks.
• A native of Yaroslavl, Russia, Firstov grew up playing minor hockey in the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl system. Current NHL players from Yaroslavl include Blues forward Vladimir Tarasenko and Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov.
• Firstov, who has committed to the University of Connecticut for the 2019-20 season, models his style of play after Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov.
