• Kostin spent the majority of the 2016-17 season playing professional hockey in Russia, despite missing significant time due to injury. He finished the season with Dynamo Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League (8 GP) and also spent time with Balashikha in Russia’s second division (9 GP).

• In 2015-16, Kostin spent the majority of the season with Balashikha’s junior team, recording 21 points (8-13—21) in 30 games.

• A leader internationally, Kostin captained Russia to a silver medal at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2-3—5 in 6 GP) and also captained his country’s entries at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship (0-4—4 in 5 GP) and 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (4-3—7 in 5 GP).
