• His father, Brian, a defenseman, was drafted 26th overall in 1984 by the Blues and went on to play 568 games in the NHL (1984-85 to 1994-95) for St. Louis, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Edmonton and Florida. His uncle, Jim, was drafted sixth overall in 1981 by the Maple Leafs -- he played nine seasons with Toronto and Vancouver.
