• Peterson has committed to Notre Dame University for 2010.

• Born in Placerville, California, Peterson moved to Illinois at a young age playing on his first hockey team, the Orland Park Vikings shortly after starting to play roller hockey at the age of four. He played most of his minor hockey for the Chicago Chill and Team Illinois.

• His childhood hockey idol was Steve Yzerman “because he was an extraordinary hockey player” and he wears number 19 “for all the great players and leaders” that have worn it.

• Juggling the soccer ball 20 times in a row is part of his pre-game ritual and his motto is to never give up – “keep on keeping on”.
