• In his first season playing in North America, Kallionkieli was named to the USHL All-Rookie Team after leading all first-year skaters in goals and ranking third in the rookie points race (29-24—53 in 58 GP).

• In 2017-18, Kallionkieli helped HIFK’s Under-18 Team capture the league championship after posting 13-9—22 in 29 regular-season games and 2-4—6 in seven postseason contests.

• Born in Kankaanpaa, Finland, Kallionkieli has dual citizenship: his father is from Finland and his mother is from Brazil. Only two players of Brazilian nationality have played in the League: goaltender Mike Greenlay (2 GP), who was born in Vitoria, Brazil but grew up in Calgary, Alta. and defenseman Robyn Regehr (1,089 GP), who was born in Recife, Brazil to Canadian missionaries and spent the ages of 3 to 7 in Indonesia before learning to play hockey in Saskatchewan.
