• Byram led all WHL players, regardless of position, in playoff points with 8-18—26 in 22 GP to help the Vancouver Giants reach the WHL Championship Series before falling to the Prince Albert Raiders in overtime in Game 7.

• In the 2018-19 regular season, Byram had 26-45—71 in 67 GP for the Western Conference leading Vancouver Giants (48-15-3, 101 points). His 26 goals led all WHL defensemen, while his 71 points trailed only Giants forward Davis Koch in team scoring. His impressive campaign saw him named to the WHL West First All-Star Team and awarded the Sherwin-Williams CHL Top Prospect Award.

• He helped Team Canada capture a gold medal at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup with 1-3—4 in 5 GP. He also represented his country at the 2018 Under-18 World Championship (0-1—1 in 5 GP) and played for Canada Red at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (1-4—5 in 6 GP), earning a silver medal and tournament All-Star honors.

• His father, Shawn Byram, played as a forward in the WHL from 1984-85 to 1987-88 and was selected by the Islanders in the fourth round (80th overall) of the 1986 NHL Draft. He appeared in four games with New York in 1990-91 and one game with Chicago in 1991-92.
