• Bitten enjoyed a breakout season in 2015-16, leading the Flint Firebirds in goals, assists and points with 30-35—65 in 67 games.
• Drafted seventh overall by the Plymouth Whalers in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection, Bitten led team rookies in goals, assists and points with 15-16—31 in 2014-15 (63 GP).
• He was named Hockey Eastern Ontario Player of the Year in 2013-14 after collecting 36-42—78 in the regular season (29 GP) and 5-9—14 in the playoffs (11 GP) as captain of the Ottawa Jr. 67s minor midget AAA club.
• Internationally, Bitten was part of Canada’s gold medal entry at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (1-1—2 in 4 GP) and helped his country earn a fourth-place finish at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship (3-5—8 in 7 GP). He also skated for Canada Red at the 2014 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2-3—5 in 5 GP).
• Bitten is part of an athletic family. His parents, Michael Bitten and Doris Piche, represented Canada in the official Olympic debut of badminton at the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. His mother also competed at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, with his father serving as her coach.
• His younger brother, Samuel Bitten, was drafted 92nd overall by the Ottawa 67’s in the 2016 OHL Priority Selection.
