Former Golden Knight Paul Cotter was first to score for Vancouver at the end of the first frame, but Mitch Marner (1G) tied the game halfway through the second. The action continued in the middle frame when Victor Olofsson (1G) secured his second goal of the season, giving the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead during a power play. Jonathan Lekkerimaki responded with another goal for the Canucks, and 34 seconds later, Marc Gatcomb (1G) scored his first goal as a Golden Knight – the eventual game-winner. The final frame was scoreless, and the Golden Knights extended their winning streak against the Canucks to eight games. The win was made possible by Adin Hill, who posted a .900 save percentage, turning aside 18 of 20 shots on goal.
