The Vegas Golden Knights (8-2-0) dominated the Pittsburgh Penguins (3-5-1) to the tune of a 6-2 decision on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Just 66 seconds into the first period, defenseman Rasmus Andersson opened the scoring with a tight snap shot, assisted by Jack Eichel and Mark Stone. Nearly three minutes later, Noah Hanifin doubled the lead with his second goal of the season, Eichel and Stone contributing once again. After a penalty call against Sidney Crosby late in the period, Stone scored for the fourth time in two periods, assisted by rookie Trevor Connelly and Mitch Marner.

The Penguins struck back in the second period off a power play, but less than two minutes later, Connelly buried a shot on an unassisted breakaway, top corner, to put Vegas back up by three, with his fourth goal of the season to lead all rookies. Shea Theodore then tallied on a one-timer for his second of the season, with assists from Brayden McNabb and William Karlsson to make it 5-1 in the second frame.

The final period kicked off with the Penguins scoring their second of the match, with a goal from Ville Koivunen. Vegas closed out the victory, though, with an unassisted empty-net goal by Brett Howden, for his fourth goal in his last six games.
