EDM@VAN R2, Gm7: Silovs uses glove to keep the puck out

Arturs Silovs had to go airborne and use every inch of his 6-foot-4 frame, but that puck was going to stay out of the net if he had anything to say about it.

The Vancouver Canucks goalie went all out for an incredible save early in the second period of Game 7 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Edmonton Oilers on Monday.

After a barrage of shots by the Oilers had Silovs bouncing all over the crease, Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl ended up with a good look at the net.

Silovs pushed himself the whole way across the crease, then stretched out to make the glove save and keep Draisaitl’s shot out of the net.

Earlier, in the first period, Silovs made another flashy save to keep the Oilers off the scoreboard, and later made a save on a breakaway.
