Buffalo Sabres President Russ Brandon today announced that Chris Bandura has been promoted to vice president of media relations and Rich Jureller has been promoted to vice president of community relations.

Bandura, who is in his 13th season with the Sabres' media relations department, enters his second season in charge of all media relations duties for the Sabres and the Buffalo Bandits (NLL). The Western New York native oversees all communications and media relations efforts for both teams, serving as the Sabres' spokesman and primary media contact. Among his chief duties in this role is serving as the liaison between media members and the Sabres organization, including players and hockey department personnel.
Jureller served as the Sabres' director of community relations for the last six seasons after initially joining the team as promotions coordinator in 2005-06. As the head of the community relations department and the president of the Sabres Foundation, he is primarily responsible for overseeing the team's community outreach initiatives and all Sabres Foundation events.
