- Finished the season 3rd on the single season franchise list for points (86) and goals (34) and tied for second in assists (52)
- Established new career highs for goals, assists, points and power play goals in a single season
- Initially set the franchise mark for single-season PP goals (20 - since surpassed by Jonathan Cheechoo)

- Signed a three-year contract with the San Jose Sharks on August 15th, giving up his first two seasons of UFA status.
2004-05 HIGHLIGHTS:
- Competed in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and the 2005 World Championships for Team Canada.
- Participated in Team Canada's Development Camp for the 2006 Olympics.
