What is NHL CENTER ICE Online?
NHL CENTER ICE Online is the streamed version of the NHL CENTER ICE out-of-market television package that lets you access up to 40 live NHL games a week from outside your local viewing area on your computer.
Local blackout restrictions apply. If you access the package within the local telecast territory of an NHL team, you will be blacked out of that team’s games on NHL CENTER ICE Online.

What if I already subscribe to NHL Center Ice on television?
Current NHL Center Ice TV subscribers can get NHL Center Ice Online for half price with proof of purchase. When you sign up for the online version, your credit card will be charged the full price. You will have to
complete a form and send it in along with a copy of your most recent cable or satellite bill that shows your purchase of the TV package for the 2007-08 Season. We will credit your card 50% of your online purchase price. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the rebate to appear on your credit card statement. All submissions should be sent to:

Can I subscribe to only NHL CENTER ICE Online and get the games on the internet as well as on television?
No. NHL CENTER ICE Online is a similar but different package than the television package. You must purchase each package separately. The 50% rebate only applies to the NHL CENTER ICE Online product.
Can I watch local telecasts on NHL CENTER ICE Online?
No. Local blackout restrictions apply to NHL CENTER ICE Online. In many cases, these blackouts may be broader than the blackouts for the television package. NHL CENTER ICE Online is designed to provide you access to games not involving your local team. If you want to watch your local NHL team, watch national telecasts, or watch games that are blacked out/or not available on the televised version of NHL Center Ice, do not purchase NHL CENTER ICE Online. Check the
NHL.com TV listings or your local listings for the local game telecast information in your area. All schedules are subject to change.
Will Versus games be available on NHL Center Ice Online?
No. Versus is the NHL’s Exclusive US National Cable rights holder, therefore you will have to tune into the Versus TV broadcast. If you don’t have Versus please contact your local cable or satellite operator for details. Please go to this link for Versus channel locator:

When am I blacked out on NHL Center Ice Online?
Generally, you are blacked out of games on NHL Center Ice Online based on a number of factors, including:
- Your local team is televising on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station’s signal.
- Your local team is televising on a local regional sports network and your cable or satellite system falls within the distribution for that local regional sports network (regardless of whether your cable or satellite system actually carries that regional sports network).
- There is no local television coverage of your local team.
- The game is being televised nationally - including NBC, Versus and the NHL Network in the U.S
How can I purchase NHL CENTER ICE for television?
NHL CENTER ICE for television can be purchased by contacting your local cable or satellite provider in the United States and Canada. Remember that the rebate only applies to the NHL CENTER ICE Online product.
Do I have to be a season ticket holder to access this site? How do I get access to this website?

I registered but I have not received a confirmation email, what should I do?
Please first check your spam or junk mail folder for your activation email.
I forgot my password or my password is invalid. What should I do?
On the login screen there is a "Forgot your password?" link, click on this and a new password will be sent to your registered email account immediately. Remember that passwords are case sensitive. Check if you accidentally have caps lock set on your keyboard.
Why is my video not playing?
Make sure you have pressed the play button for your video and wait a minute or two. If you still cannot play the video then your issue may be due to the following:
- Low Hard Drive Space - Windows Media Player temporarily stores videos on your hard drive for play back. Make sure you have at least 300 Megabytes of space free.
- Low Memory - if your computer has less than the minimum 256 MB of memory or you are running many applications at the same time, close other applications before playing a video.
- Low Bandwidth - it is required that you have either a Cable or DSL modem providing at least 300 kbps download speed. Contact your internet provider if you suspect you are getting less than this speed.
What do I do if I still have questions or need technical support?
You can email us by going to the Login/Registration page and clicking on the “Need Technical Support?” link and filling out the form. You will receive a response within 24 hours. You can also speak with a Customer Service Representative by calling 1-866-997-0929 from the hours of 5pm to 1am EST or 1 hour prior to game time. Phone support is only available in French and English.
How can I watch live NHL games online in Europe and the Middle East?
The NHL Center Ice Online package is now available in Europe on ESPN 360. NHL fans can watch up to a 1000 games throughout the regular season by simply selecting NHL within the ESPN360 player - go to https://europe.espn360.com

What are the billing terms for NHL CENTER ICE Online?
Pricing for NHL CENTER ICE Online may vary depending on your location. Pricing for your particular location (including any applicable taxes) will be displayed when you access the log-in or registration screens for NHL CENTER ICE Online. In all cases, you will be charged the full subscription price in advance, subject to the rebate and cancellation terms described in these FAQs and in the NHL.com Terms of Service. If you are located outside of Canada when you subscribe to NHL CENTER ICE Online (and are not subscribed to NHL CENTER ICE Online through
ESPN 360), we will automatically renew your subscription – for the Full Season package of NHL CENTER ICE Online – at the start of each subsequent season, and will charge the credit card associated with your account with a new subscription fee. The subscription fee for the renewal season shall be equal to the "early bird" subscription fee for the Full Season package for the preceding season unless you are notified in advance of any change to the subscription fee. We will notify you prior to renewing your subscription and encourage you to ensure that your credit card information is up to date at that time.
Minimum System Requirements
In order to fully enjoy your NHL Video Portal experience it is recommended that your computer meets or exceeds the following system requirements:
Each game played in a quarter-size window requires 300 kbps. Viewing four games at the same time requires 1.2 mbps. Viewing one game at normal size (480x360) requires 750 kbps.
