Skinner-Collins split

Jeff in Buffalo is a big fan of “Emily in Paris.” And apparently the feeling is mutual.

Jeff Skinner  is set to play in his 1,000th NHL game on Tuesday, and to help celebrate, "Emily in Paris" star Lily Collins recorded a video message for the Sabres forward. He's previously said he's a fan of the show.

Collins filmed the video on the set of the show, which is currently filming its fourth season.

What might seem like a random and unlikely connection actually goes back to late 2022. Skinner went viral on social media after the Sabres posted a mic’d up clip of him talking to teammate Mattias Samuelsson about the show.

“There’s a new season coming out,” Skinner said in the video. “This season she gets bangs!”

Collins saw the original video back then and reposted it on her own Instagram account with the caption, “Well this is one @emilyinparis crossover I wasn’t expecting…”

Collins’ post got the attention of some of her costars, too.

Skinner was surprised Collins kept up with him and the Sabres, and thanked the actress for the video message.

"That's good, that was cool," Skinner said in a video posted by the Sabres. "Merci, Emily. Hope everything works out for you in season four. I'll be rooting for you."

While a release date for the new season hasn’t been announced yet, we’re pretty sure Skinner will be ready to binge it once it comes out.
