The New York Rangers moved up six spots, and the Minnestoa Wild climbed five in the NHL.com Super 16 power rankings this week.

The Rangers, who won seven in a row before losing to the Colorado Avalanche 7-3 on Wednesday, are No. 2. The Wild, who will put their seven-game winning streak on the line Thursday at the San Jose Sharks, are No. 4.
For the second straight week, the Florida Panthers are No. 1 in the Super 16. The Carolina Hurricanes, who were knocked out of the top spot by Florida last week, fell three to No. 5.
The Edmonton Oilers took the biggest fall, dropping six spots to No. 10.
To create the NHL.com power rankings, each of the 14 participating staff members put together his or her version of what they think it should look like. Those were submitted and a point total assigned to each.
The team that was selected No. 1 was given 16 points, No. 2 got 15, No. 3 received 14, and so on to No. 16, which got one point.
