The Buffalo Sabres sent Craig Anderson out with a bang.

The veteran goalie confirmed he is
calling it a career
after 20 NHL seasons following a 4-3 win against the Ottawa Senators of all teams, were he spent half of his storied career.
It was a big night for Anderson, who made 30 saves in an overtime victory and afterward was mobbed by teammates

And his teammates weren't the only one who had hugs for him. His wife, Nicholle and sons, Jake and Levi, also had some post-game love for Anderson.

Before the game, Anderson's sons also read the lineup in the Sabres locker room to thunderous applause from the team.

While that was a special way to start the game, Casey Mittlestadt's overtime winner was the perfect way to end it.
Afterward, Senators players, led by captain Brady Tkachuk, also had some hugs for Anderson.

It was the 319th win of Anderson's career.
