Connor McDavid is a standout center for the Edmonton Oilers and appears to be a standout table tennis player too.
Making an appearance at the Association of Tennis Professionals' Rogers Cup in Toronto on Sunday, McDavid defeated Denis Shapovalov, a Canadian tennis player who won the Wimbledon junior singles championship earlier this month, in table tennis.

McDavid was not at Dominic Moore's
Smashfest V charity table tennis tournament
in Toronto on Thursday; Patrick Eaves of the Dallas Stars won for the second straight year. Maybe McDavid will be invited next year.
McDavid will be in Toronto for the World Cup of Hockey 2016, playing for Team North America. The eight-team international tournament will take place from Sept. 17-Oct. 1 at Air Canada Centre.
