BEIJING --Jake DeBrusk scored twice to help the Boston Bruins defeat the Calgary Flames 3-1 in the finale of the 2018 O.R.G. NHL China Games at Cadillac Arena on Wednesday.
Calgary tied the game 1-1 on Monahan's breakaway goal with three seconds remaining in the second period. Monahan came out of the penalty box behind the Bruins defense and took a pass from center Mark Jankowski in stride. He got Rask to go down first and he beat him with a high shot. \[Game-used Pucks from the 2018 NHL China Games available on NHL Auctions\] DeBrusk gave Boston a 1-0 lead with a goal off a pass from Ryan Donato at 18:09 of the first period. "I thought it was a little bit of a slow start and I thought we got better once we spent some time in the offensive zone. We got a little heavier and harder on pucks," Flames coach Bill Peters said. "I thought we got some work done and obviously we can look at the two games. We know we have lots of work left to do. Dig in when we get home."
