Wayne Gretzky and Luc Robitaille brought some star power Friday when they served as captains for an alumni/celebrity outdoor game in Bakersfield, California.

Team Gretzky included Stanley Cup champions Glenn Anderson and Craig MacTavish and was coached by Kevin Lowe; all were teammates of Gretzky's with the Edmonton Oilers. The roster also included members of the band R5, as well as actor Michael Rosenbaum. Although actor Patrick O'Brien Demsey isn't Mike Eruzione, he played the captain of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team in the 2004 movie "Miracle."
Gretzky's son Ty and brother Keith, Edmonton's assistant general manager, were also on the roster.

Robitaille coached a team made up primarily of former Los Angeles Kings, including goalie Jamie Storr, defenseman Rob Blake and forward Bernie Nicholls. Actors Jay Harrington and David Boreanaz and Fox Sports' Jenny Taft helped round out Robitaille's roster.
"Nobody probably ever thought we'd play an outdoor game in Bakersfield in January. So this is a bonus," Gretzky said. "And the people in the city have really rallied around minor league hockey here."
Robitaille's team won the game 9-8, but it wasn't about the W at the event.
"Tonight was just a fun night for all these guys," Gretzky said. "We were laughing on the bench having a good time."
