Chris Mizer, 31, enters the NHL after six seasons in professional hockey's minor league system. Last season, Mizer was head athletic trainer for the American Hockey League's Cincinnati Mighty Ducks. Prior to that, he was head athletic trainer for the International Hockey League's Indianapolis Ice from 1996-99 and the East Coast Hockey League's Columbus Chill from 1994-96. A longtime supporter of the American Cancer Society, Chris regularly volunteers his time for the Columbus chapter's "Relay For Life," a day-long running event which is one of the organization's chief summer fundraisers. The Dover, Ohio, native received a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a specialization in athletic training in 1991 and a master's degree in allied health management in 1994 from Ohio State University. During his tenure at OSU, Chris provided athletic health care to various Buckeye sport teams. He also spent seven summers as a part-time assistant athletic trainer for the NFL's Washington Redskins. A golf, tennis and running enthusiast, Chris resides in Columbus.

Tim LeRoy, 34, accepted his first head equipment manager post with the Blue Jackets in 2000, after serving as an assistant with the Florida Panthers from 1993-99. A native of Kalamazoo, Mich., LeRoy has been associated with hockey for the majority of his life, first serving as a stickboy for Western Michigan University's hockey team as a high school student. He went on to become assistant equipment manager with the International Hockey League's Kalamazoo Wings from 1986-88. He was head equipment manager for the IHL's Kansas City Blades from 1988-93, winning a Turner Cup championship in 1990-91. His hobbies include physical fitness activities, golf and softball. Tim and his wife, Angie, reside in Dublin, Ohio.
