Mike Gapski

As a Chicago native, Mike Gapski, 41, fulfilled a lifelong dream of working for his hometown NHL team when he accepted the Blackhawks' head athletic trainer position in 1987. A graduate of Chicago's St. Rita High School, Gapski attended Daley Junior College before receiving an undergraduate degree in physical education with honors from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 1982. He stayed at UIC for five years as assistant athletic trainer, providing athletic healthcare coverage for a variety of the Flames' sports teams. He was honored to serve as athletic trainer for the 1991 NHL All-Star Game and Team USA at the 1991 Canada Cup. Mike is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
His hobbies include fishing and gardening. Mike and his wife, Lynne, have three children, Michael, Steven and Gillian, and reside in Crestwood, Ill.
Troy Parchman

Troy Parchman, 35, who joined the Blackhawks in 1994, has 18 years of equipment management experience. The native of Moose Jaw, Sask., was equipment manager for the University of Saskatchewan football and hockey teams from 1982-88, while earning undergraduate degrees in physical education and sociology. He served as equipment manager for the Canadian National Hockey Team from 1988-94, where he worked consecutive World Hockey Championships from 1991-94. He was also selected to provide equipment management services for the USA hockey squad at the 1992 and '94 Winter Olympic Games. Troy, who enjoys cycling, fishing and golf, resides in Chicago.
