    Hard Check Answer:

On April 14, 1987, Quebec Nordiques defenseman Risto Siltanen dished out five assists against the Whalers in Game Five at Hartford. Siltanen, who played for the Whalers from 1982 to 1986, tied the record previously set by Edmonton’s Paul Coffey in 1985. Incidentally, Siltanen and Coffey were teammates in Edmonton for the 1980-81 and 1981-82 seasons. Coffey was a rookie in the former campaign and Siltanen was entering his second year in the NHL.
