NHL®CENTER ICE®. THE GAME LIVES WHERE YOU DO.

Call your local cable, satellite, or telco provider to order now!

WHAT IS NHL® CENTER ICE®?

NHL CENTER ICE is a digital television subscription programming package of NHL regular season games that are played outside your local viewing area.

The hockey games included in NHL CENTER ICE are locally televised games on regional sports networks and/or over-the-air stations.

You will not see games that are being nationally broadcasted on NBC Sports Network, NBC or the NHL Network. These games are not permitted to be shown in NHL Center Ice.

ARE NHL PLAYOFF GAMES INCLUDED IN NHL® CENTER ICE®?
No, there are no Stanley Cup® playoff games included in your NHL CENTER ICE subscription.

WHAT DOES NHL® CENTER ICE® OFFER FANS?
NHL CENTER ICE is designed for you to be able to watch games outside of your local market (i.e. other then just your home team). It is the best way to follow the entire League.

Local games are generally available on your regional sports network (RSN) or an over-the-air network.

If you are in the local television market for a team or teams, whether they are playing home or away, you will be blacked out of their games in NHL Center Ice.

HOW MANY GAMES CAN I EXPECT TO SEE ON NHL® CENTER ICE®?
As an NHL CENTER ICE subscriber, you will see up to 40 games a week (from outside your local viewing area) throughout the regular season, including a number of games in high definition.

In addition, please note that in certain rare instances, two teams may be playing each other in which neither local regional sports network is televising the game. In these instances, because the game is not being televised, we do not have a feed to utilize for NHL CENTER ICE.

HOW MANY GAMES WILL I SEE IN HIGH DEFINITION?
The number of HD games you will see in NHL CENTER ICE will vary across cable and satellite providers. For technical reasons such as bandwidth and channel capacity, one provider may choose to air both feeds of a game in HD, while another one may not air the same amount of feeds or games in HD. This is at the discretion of each cable/satellite provider and it can vary across NHL Center Ice distributors and even individual systems of a distributor.

In addition, please be aware that for a variety of reasons, not all HD games are available for use in NHL Center Ice across all NHL Center Ice distributors

WHY ARE THERE BLACKOUTS?
Blackout restrictions exist to protect the local telecasters of each NHL game in the local markets of the teams. Keep in mind that blackout policies and restrictions are different for every sports package that your system may carry. (NHL CENTER ICE is designed for the NHL fan who wants to see NHL games in addition to those which involve the team(s) in their local markets).

If you are located in a team's television territory, check your local listings for all locally televised games. NHL CENTER ICE is not able to televise these games.

If you are located in a team's television territory and their local regional sports network is not available on your current cable or satellite provider, you will not be able to see these games in NHL CENTER ICE. This is a distribution issue between the regional sports network and the cable/satellite provider. The blackout remains intact as the local regional sports network has the rights to these games in your area.

Blackouts are not based on arena sell-outs.

For me, it's a great win for our hockey team and for a lot of people back in Columbus, especially our fans in particular … people who have been devoted to this organization, it's big.
