Mike Green is the clear cut No. 1 D-man this season, with Duncan Keith and Dan Boyle following at No. 2 and 3 respectively. Green is the only point-per-game player among all defensemen and the only guy worth drafting in the top two rounds.
There are a handful of youngsters to keep an eye on, such as Buffalo's Tyler Myers (last season's Rookie of the Year), Atlanta's Zach Bogosian, Ottawa's Erik Karlsson, the Rangers' Michael Del Zotto and Montreal's P.K. Subban. All of them could be in line to improve on last years numbers. Just remember one thing come draft day, it's hard to find reliable fantasy defensemen, so it could be wise to grab a good one when you have the chance.
