SILFVERBERG NETS SHOOTOUT-WINNER TO LIFT ANAHEIM PAST DETROIT

Jakob Silfverberg (0-1-1) scored the shootout-winner to propel the Anaheim Ducks to a 4-3 win against the Detroit Red Wings. The Ducks, who swept the season series versus the Red Wings and earned their third straight victory, are 38-16-7 (83 points) this season. Anaheim leads the Pacific Division and moved within four points of the idle Nashville Predators, who boast a League-best record of 40-13-7 (87 points).

* Silfverberg has converted on a team-leading nine of 13 shootout attempts this season, with two of the markers standing as game-deciding goals.

* Francois Beauchemin (1-0-1) scored his seventh goal of the season and extended his point streak to a season-high three games (3-0-3). Beauchemin has scored in three consecutive games for the second time in his career; the first instance was Oct. 17-21, 2008 (3-0-3).

* Andrew Cogliano (1-0-1) scored his 10th goal of the season. Four of Cogliano's 10 goals this season have come during his past five games.

* Ryan Getzlaf (0-1-1) registered his team-leading 39th assist of the season and extended his point streak to three games (2-2-4). Getzlaf has collected 37 points (11-26-37) in 33 career games versus Detroit. Kyle Palmieri (0-1-1) recorded his 11th assist of the season and extended his point streak to four games (1-4-5), which matched a season-high.

* John Gibson made 35 saves through 65 minutes and two of three in the shootout to earn the first shootout victory of his career. Gibson earned his third straight win, which matched a career-high. He is 6-4-0 this season with a 2.74 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage.

SCHNEIDER BACKSTOPS DEVILS TO FOURTH STRAIGHT VICTORY IN WIN AGAINST COYOTES

Corey Schneider made 38 saves to backstop the New Jersey Devils to a 4-0 victory against the Arizona Coyotes. The win was New Jersey's season-high fourth consecutive victory, which have all been earned on home ice. In fact, the Devils have earned points in 14 of their past 16 games at Prudential Center (11-2-3).

* New Jersey is 25-26-9 (59 points) this season and leapfrogged the idle Ottawa Senators to move within eight points of the Boston Bruins, who occupy the final Eastern Conference wild-card spot with a record of 29-21-9 (67 points).

* Schneider made 38 saves to record his third shutout of the season. Schneider has earned wins in three consecutive decisions and is 22-22-5 this season with a 2.22 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. Schneider is 4-1-1 with three shutouts in six career games versus the Coyotes.

* The most-recent time Schneider made 38 or more saves and earned a shutout victory was on March 12, 2012 when he made 43 saves to backstop the Vancouver Canucks to a 1-0 win against the Colorado Avalanche.

* Mike Cammalleri (2-0-2) posted his fourth multi-goal performance of the season and extended his point streak to three games (4-1-5). Two of Cammalleri's four multi-goal games this season have come during his current point streak. Cammalleri leads the Devils in goals (22) and ranks second among team-leaders in points (22-8-30) this season.

* Scott Gomez (1-0-1) opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the season and extended his point streak to three games (1-2-3), which matched a season-high. Gomez brought his point total to 473 (121-352-473) in his Devils career and passed Bobby Holik for sole possession of fifth on their all-time points list. The marker was also Gomez’s first game-winning goal since Feb. 9, 2012 when he netted the game-winner in a 4-2 win against the New York Islanders as a member of the Montreal Canadiens.

* Jordin Tootoo (0-1-1) registered his third assist of the season and extended his season-high point streak to three games (1-2-3). Tootoo has recorded points in three consecutive games for the first time since Feb. 14-19, 2012 (0-3-3) as a member of the Nashville Predators. Adam Larsson (0-1-1) recorded his 15th assist of the season and extended his point streak to a season-high three games (0-5-5). Larsson’s most-recent point streak of three of more games was when he posted a five-game point streak from Nov. 19-26, 2011 (1-4-5).

Detroit forward Pavel Datsyuk (2-0-2) posted his sixth multi-goal performance of the season and extended his point streak to three games (4-3-7). By bringing his goal total to 21 this season, Datsyuk reached the 20-goal mark for the first time since the 2010-11 season and for the eighth time in his career. ... With 2-2-4 in his previous game on Feb. 21 versus the Dallas Stars, Datsyuk has posted consecutive multi-goal performances for the second time in his career; the first instance was Feb. 8-10, 2009 (4-1-5). ... With 853 career points (293-560-853), Datsyuk moved into a tie with former member of the Red Wings Vyacheslav Kozlov for fifth on the all-time points list among Russian skaters. Kozlov posted 853 points (356-497-853) through 1,182 career games; Datsyuk reached the point total in 871 games. ... Detroit defenseman Niklas Kronwall (0-2-2) recorded his sixth multi-assist game of the season. ... Detroit forward Riley Sheahan (1-0-1) netted his career-high 10th goal of the season and extended his point streak to three games (1-2-3), which matched a season-high. ... Ottawa Senators defenseman Jared Cowen was suspended for three games for interference against Florida Panthers forward Jussi Jokinen. ... Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick, Vancouver Canucks center Henrik Sedin and Montreal Canadiens left wing Max Pacioretty were named the NHL's "Three Stars" for the week ending Feb. 22. ... The Boston University Terriers earned a 4-3 overtime win against the Northeastern University Huskies to capture the 63rd Annual Beanpot Championship at TD Garden on Monday.
