OVECHKIN BECOMES FIFTH PLAYER IN NHL HISTORY WITH 30 GOALS IN FIRST 10 SEASONS

Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals scored two goals on Sunday afternoon in a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues to bring his League-leading goal total to 31 this season. Ovechkin became the fifth player in NHL history to score 30 or more goals in each of his first 10 seasons, joining Mike Gartner, Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri and Mike Bossy.

STEEN, OSHIE LEAD BLUES OVER CAPITALS

Alexander Steen (2-1-3) and T.J. Oshie (0-3-3) each posted three points to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 victory against the Washington Capitals. St. Louis' first win in Washington since Dec. 29, 2011 improved its record to 32-13-4 (68 points) this season and extended its season-best point streak to 11 games (10-0-1). St. Louis’ most-recent point streak of more than 11 games came in a franchise record 12-game segment from Nov. 24 to Dec. 26, 2000 (11-0-1).

* The Blues have won five consecutive games and four straight on the road. With the victory, St. Louis also improved to a Western Conference-leading 13-3-2 record versus Eastern Conference opponents this season as well as an 8-0-2 record versus Eastern Conference opponents dating to Nov. 20, 2014.

* Steen opened the scoring early in the first period on a power-play, added an even-strength marker and his 26th assist to post his fourth three-point performance of the season. The first tally was also the sixth power-play goal of the season for Steen. Oshie registered his second three-assist game of the season and extended his point streak to five games (3-4-7). Oshie has also posted 21 points (9-12-21) in his past 15 games.

* Vladimir Tarasenko (1-1-2) netted his 25th goal and added his 25th assist to post his 13th multi-point game of the season. The tally also stood as the team-leading fifth game-winning goal of the season for Tarasenko, who ranks tied for fifth in goals and eighth in points (25-25-50) among League-leaders this season.

* Jaden Schwartz (0-2-2) posted his third multi-assist performance of the season. The Blues have won 15 of their past 16 games with Schwartz in the lineup.

* Brian Elliot made 33 saves to record his fourth straight win, which matches a season-high. Elliott improved to 15-5-2 this season and ranks second among League goaltenders with a 1.99 goals-against average and is tied for fourth among League goaltenders with a .927 save percentage. With the victory, Elliot also improved to 6-2-0 in eight career appearances versus Washington.

NASHVILLE RECORDS FIRST REGULATION WIN IN PITTSBURGH SINCE 2004

Carter Hutton stopped all 21 shots he faced to backstop the Nashville Predators to a 4-0 shutout win against the Pittsburgh Penguins, their first regulation win in Pittsburgh since a 9-4 victory on March 4, 2004. Nashville improved to 32-11-6 (70 points) this season to remain at the top of the Central Division standings.

* Hutton made 21 saves to record his first shutout of the season and the second of his career. With the win, Hutton improved to 3-4-4 this season with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage.

* Roman Josi (1-1-2) opened the scoring with his ninth goal and added his 24th assist to post his eighth multi-point game of the season. The marker also stood as the third game-winning goal of the season for Josi, who ranks tied for first among club defensemen in assists this season and second among club defensemen in goals and points (9-24-33). Paired with the win, Nashville also improved to 18-1-4 when scoring first this season.

* Filip Forsberg (0-2-2) recorded his fifth multi-assist game of the season. Forsberg ranks first on the club in points (17-27-44) and second in assists this season, and also leads League rookies in both categories.

* Gabriel Bourque (1-0-1) and Eric Nystrom (1-0-1) netted even-strength goals and Mike Fisher (1-0-1) rounded out the scoring with his sixth power-play goal of the season.

DOMINGUE RECORDS FIRST CAREER WIN IN ARIZONA'S RALLY VS. MONTREAL

Facing a 2-0 deficit, the Arizona Coyotes rallied for three unanswered goals to defeat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2. The Coyotes improved to 18-26-6 (42 points) this season.

* In his first career start, Louis Domingue stopped 18 of 20 shots he faced to record the first win of his NHL career. The St. Hyacinthe, Quebec native, who made his NHL debut Saturday when he relieved Mike Smith in an eventual 7-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators, earned the victory in front of several family members and friends in attendance.

* Lauri Korpikoski (2-0-2) posted his first multi-goal performance of the season via two power-play goals. The latter marker stood as the first game-winning goal of the season for Korpikoski, who ranks third on the club in power-play goals this season with five.

* Keith Yandle (0-2-2) recorded his fifth multi-assist game of the season and has posted eight helpers (0-8-8) in his Past eight games. Yandle leads the club in assists (30) and points (4-30-34) this season and ranks tied for third and eighth in each respective category among League defensemen.

* Oliver Ekman-Larsson (1-0-1) scored his 14th goal of the season. Ekman-Larsson leads League defensemen in goals this season.

DUBNYK BACKSTOPS WILD TO WIN AGAINST CANUCKS

Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves to backstop the Minnesota Wild to a 4-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks. The Wild improved to 23-20-6 (52 points) this season and have earned a point in six of their past seven games (5-1-1).

* The Wild have earned three consecutive road wins; they also defeated Edmonton and Calgary prior to the win against Vancouver. Minnesota swept the Oilers, Flames and Canucks on the same road trip for only the second time in club history; the Wild also accomplished the feat March 13-17, 2007.

* Dubnyk stopped 35 of 37 shots to improve to 14-6-2 this season with a 2.45 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Dubnyk, who was acquired by the Wild from the Coyotes on Jan. 14, improved to 5-1-0 since the acquisition.

* Mikael Granlund (0-2-2) recorded his third multi-assist game of the season.

* Zach Parise (1-0-1) opened the scoring with his 21st goal of the season. Parise, who leads the club in goals, has scored seven times in his past seven games (7-1-8). Parise is also tied for the team-lead in points (21-17-38) this season.

* Jared Spurgeon (1-0-1) scored his seventh goal of the season on a power play. The marker stood as the second power-play goal of the season for Spurgeon. Thomas Vanek (1-0-1) netted his 10th goal, which stood as his first game-winner of the season.

St. Louis forward David Backes skated in his 616th career game and passed Bob Plager for sole possession of sixth on the Blues' all-time games played list. ... Washington forward Alex Ovechkin (2-1-3) posted the 94th multi-goal performance of his career and passed Peter Bondra for sole possession of first on the Capitals' all-time multi-goal games list. ... Washington defenseman Mike Green (0-2-2) brought his career point total to 346 (108-238-346) and passed Larry Murphy for sole possession of fifth on the Capitals' all-time points list among defensemen. ... Washington forward Nicklas Backstrom (0-2-2) posted his 11th multi-assist performance of the season. ... Montreal forward Alex Galchenyuk (2-0-2) recorded his second multi-goal game of the season. ... Pittsburgh forward Patric Hornqvist skated in the 400th game of his NHL career which was against the Predators who he played his first 363 games with. ... Nashville forward James Neal, who was acquired by the Predators in an offseason transaction involving Hornqvist, played his first game in Pittsburgh since the acquisition. ... Vancouver forward Ronalds Kenins (1-0-1) scored the first goal of his NHL career.
