NEW YORK -- New York Rangers right wing Rick Nash will miss his fourth consecutive game, as the team announced he is out Tuesday night against the Winnipeg Jets with an undisclosed injury.
He's not the only Rangers player who will sit Thursday with injury: defensemen Michael Del Zotto (lower body) and Ryan McDonagh (head), and forward Arron Asham (back) will be absent from the lineup.
Nash has not played since Feb. 17, and he was a game-time decision for that contest against the Washington Capitals. He took part in the team's Tuesday morning practice in Greenburgh, N.Y., but is not yet ready to return to game action.
"I'm feeling good, getting better," Nash told reporters after practice. "It's a positive day for sure when you get back out and skate with the guys. I don't know about tonight. Obviously, I'll talk to the trainers. But it was a good day to get a good skate in."
Del Zotto hasn't played since Thursday, when a hit along the boards against the Ottawa Senators forced him to exit the game. McDonagh took a hit from Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty on Saturday night and left the game with a bloody face.
The Rangers are left with little lineup flexibility against the Jets. Darroll Powe is back from a concussion suffered in the game against the Capitals. On defense, Stu Bickel and Steve Eminger will fill the voids left by McDonagh and Del Zotto.
Carl Hagelin - Derek Stepan - Ryan Callahan
Taylor Pyatt - Brad Richards - Marian Gaborik
Chris Kreider - Brian Boyle - J.T. Miller
Brandon Mashinter - Jeff Halpern - Darroll Powe
Steve Eminger - Anton Stralman
