Cup stays in Sweden with Blackhawks' Nordstrom

Chicago Blackhawks forward Joakim Nordstrom brought the Stanley Cup to Fontanahallen Rink in Sweden on Wednesday for fans to see.

Nordstrom enjoyed his day in his home country after former Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya (now with the Dallas Stars) and restricted free agent forward Marcus Kruger, who are each from Stockholm, brought the Cup to Sweden earlier this week.

Oduya, Kruger bring Cup to native Sweden

Former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Johnny Oduya and restricted free agent forward Marcus Kruger spent Tuesday with the Stanley Cup in Sweden at a children's hospital.

Oduya and Kruger, each a native of Stockholm, also brought the Cup to a soccer stadium and met with fans.

Seabrook brings Cup home to Tsawwassen, B.C.

For the third time in the past five years, Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Brent Seabrook brought the Stanley Cup to his hometown of Tsawwassen, British Columbia.

Seabrook and his family boarded a Zamboni in the morning for a ride through the local streets to the South Delta Recreation Centre, where the Cup was available for public viewing and photographs with fans, and later took to the skies for a helicopter tour of nearby Vancouver.

Blackhawks owner takes Cup to Illinois State Fair

Chicago Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz brought the Stanley Cup to the Illinois State Fair in Springfield on Friday.

Wirtz and Gov. Bruce Rauner took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony that officially began the fair, which runs through Aug. 23.

Blackhawks head trainer shows off Cup for charities

Chicago Blackhawks head trainer Mike Gapski brought the Stanley Cup to Marist High School in Chicago and a minor-league baseball stadium in Crestwood, Ill., on Thursday.

Gapski also had plans to take the Cup to a bar and restaurant in Merrionette Park, Ill., later Thursday.

Gapski arranged the three visits to raise money for various charities and groups, including Marist's hockey team. At Marist and Standard Bank Stadium, home of the Frontier League's Windy City ThunderBolts, fans received a 4-by-6 photo for a $10 fee charged to those 8 and older. Proceeds also benefit the Special Olympics, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, and families in need.

Blackhawks asst. GM brings Cup to Minnesota college

Chicago Blackhawks assistant general manager Norm Maciver spent the first part of his Stanley Cup day with family before taking it to his alma mater, the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

"This is almost better than winning it, sharing it with family and friends," Maciver told NNCNNOW.com. "When they see it for the first time, it's magic."

Blackhawks video coach brings Cup to hometown

Chicago Blackhawks video coach Matt Meacham on Tuesday brought the Stanley Cup to Massena, N.Y., the town where he learned to play hockey.

Meacham took the Cup to Massena Arena, where he played hockey as a boy, and fans took pictures.

Blackhawks assistant Dineen takes Cup to Saratoga

Kevin Dineen has been in the NHL for more than 20 years as a player and coach and had never won the Stanley Cup until last season.

Dineen, an assistant coach with the Chicago Blackhawks who lives in Warren County, N.Y., on Monday spent his day with the Cup at Saratoga Race Course. Fans were able to take a picture with the Cup for a $10 donation to Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch, a camp for children with life-threatening and serious illnesses.

The second race Monday was named for Double H Ranch and the Cup was taken to the winner’s circle for a special presentation, The Saratogian reported.

Chicago Blackhawks owner Rocky Wirtz had his day with the Stanley Cup on Sunday.

He shared the trophy with police and firemen in Winnetka, Ill., a village about 20 miles north of Chicago.

Cumiskey brings Cup to family, friends in Abbotsford

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Kyle Cumiskey enjoyed his day with the Stanley Cup in his hometown of Abbotsford, British Columbia, on Tuesday.

Cumiskey, 28, played in seven regular-season games for the Blackhawks and nine Stanley Cup Playoff games. It was the first time winning the Stanley Cup for Cumiskey, who started his career by spending five seasons with the Colorado Avalanche.
