SENATORS (22-19-9) at LIGHTNING (29-16-5)
TV: RDS, SNET-E, SUN
Last 10: Ottawa 7-1-2; Tampa Bay 5-4-1
Big story: Tampa looks to regain its winning form at home, having dropped five in a row since its last win at Tampa Bay Times Forum on Dec. 21. However, the Lightning still have one of the better home records in the NHL with a 14-6-3 mark.
Senators: Craig Anderson had 34 saves Tuesday leading the Senators to a 2-0 win against the Washington Capitals for their seventh win in 10 games.
"We played really well for 60 minutes from the start of the game to the end of the game. We did things we were supposed to do and we did them well," Anderson told the Senators website after the game.
The Senators enter with an 11-8-4 road mark having won four of their past five (4-0-1) away from Canadian Tire Centre.
"I think we've just come to the games prepared. We've gotten good goaltending. Special teams have been much better on the road than they have been at home. It's one of those things where if you knew the answer, we'd play better at home," Jason Spezza said after the game.
Lightning: Victor Hedman, who leads Lightning defenseman with 10 goals and 26 points, injured his ankle in a 5-4 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday and missed the 5-3 win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. But the defenseman should be ready to go Thursday.
"He looked pretty good out there today. He was banged up pretty good," coach Jon Cooper said after practice Tuesday. "We got through the one game without him and will be happy to get him back for sure."
Who's hot: Forward Kyle Turris has five goals in six games for the Senators. Erik Karlsson leads all defensemen with 47 points. … Martin St. Louis has eight goals in eight games for the Lightning. Tyler Johnson has one goal and six assists in seven games.
Injury report: Senators defensemen Marc Methot (undisclosed) and forward Mark Stone (arm) did not play Tuesday. … The Lightning have three players on injured reserve: defensemen Mattias Ohlund (knee) and Brian Lee (knee) and forward Steven Stamkos (tibia).
