FORMER CATS
The Flames have three skaters on their roster that have spent time in the Panthers organization: Michael Frolik, Kris Versteeg and Dennis Wideman.
Frolik was drafted 10th overall by the Panthers in 2006 and and spent three seasons with the club, recording 50 goals and 127 points in 213 games.
Versteeg played 99 games with Florida and netted 27 goals and 65 points in that stretch. He also dressed for seven playoff games, posting three goals and two points.
Wideman suited up for 61 games with the Panthers in the 2010-11 season, scoring nine goals and 33 points that year.
TERRIFIC TANDEM
Brian Elliott and Chad Johnson have been in fine form in recent weeks, combining to hold the opposition to two-or-less goals in seven of their last eight games. They have a 1.88 GAA and a .927 save percentage through those eight skates.
'DOME COOKING
The Flames have won nine of their last 13 games at the Scotiabank Saddledome, with that run dating back to Nov. 30. During that span, Calgary has the most home wins in the Western Conference.
MILESTONES WITHIN REACH
Dennis Wideman needs 3 games for 800 and 3 goals for 100.
Johnny Gaudreau needs 4 games for 200.
Alex Chiasson needs 4 points for 100.
