Colorado Avalanche Minnesota Wild Semyon Varlamov Helmet Focus 4 October 2018

BUFFALO, N.Y.--The Colorado Avalanche faces the Buffalo Sabres this evening in the last contest of its first road trip of the season, and the team will only make minor adjustments to its lineup.
Forward Vladislav Kamenev will make his season debut for the Avs and will likely skate on a line with Matt Calvert and J.T. Compher.
Patrik Nemeth also returns to the Avalanche's lineup after missing the last two games with a minor upper-body injury. He is expected to be paired on defense with Nikita Zadorov.

Defenseman Mark Barberio and forward Sheldon Dries will be the Avs' healthy scratches.
The rest of Colorado's forward combos and defensive units should remain the same.
Semyon Varlamov will get the start in net. He was in goal for the first two contests of the year and produced a 2-0-0 record, 1.50 goals-against average and .948 save percentage.
Following tonight's meeting in Buffalo, the Avs will return home for one game on Saturday versus the Calgary Flames. Colorado will then head back out to the east coast for four more contests next week.
